COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS
Administrative Board - Responsible for acting as a clearinghouse for all programs and administration of the church.
Board of Trustees - Responsible for the care of the church facility and grounds.
Building and Planning Committee - Responsible for developing plans for the future of the church.
Finance Committee - Responsible for developing the annual budget, expenditures and revenue.
Lay Leadership Committee - Responsible for the training and coordination of the church's lay leaders.
Staff/Pastor/Parish Relations Committee - Responsible for dealing with employee/employer and congregational matters.
Worship Committee - Responsible for the planning and coordination of all the elements of the weekly worship services.
Nurture Committee - Responsible for the care of the congregation (i.e. membership, attendance, visits, calling on the sick, etc.) Includes: Sunday School, Prayer Group (Power Hour), Librarian, Historian, Youth, God's F.L.A.M.E.(formerlyl KIDZ Club), Shut-In Coordinator, District Cluster Representative
Outreach Committee - Responsible for the missions through the church (i.e. missionary speakers, road trips to mission centers, emphasizing missions trips, etc.) Includes: Health & Welfare, Disaster Response, Children's Home, Elmer's Kitchen, Scouting, Cold Night Shelter, Celebrate Recovery, Break Free Ministry.
Witness Committee - Responsible for evangelism...connecting people in the community with Jesus and FUMC (i.e. practical ways to show Jesus' love, Welcome Packets, baked bread, etc.) Includes: Small Groups/Spiritual Formation, Communications, Guest Orientation, Hospitality and Bread/First-Time Visitors.
